Prompt Fest 2021
We have 21 prompts and 4 claims so far in our annual prompt fest. Plenty of opportunities to join in, if you wish! Claims are due on 14 April. You can browse all the tempting prompts (and maybe claim one or add to them) on AO3 here: https://archiveofourown.org/collections/MerlinRPF_PromptFest2021
Linking older works to our AO3 collection
Thank you so much to everyone who's offered their thoughts on the whole "moving to AO3" notion. Not wanting to make a big fuss, but![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)

I have now started creating external links in our main AO3 collection to earlier fanworks that were posted to LiveJournal. Due to the sensitivities involved in RPF (though things have certainly shifted since 2008!) I've been limiting this to only those fanworks which are publicly visible even when you're not logged into LJ. I hope that suits everyone, but I will of course delete any external links about which the creator is uncomfortable.
For fanworks which have been posted to AO3 already, I'm inviting them to the collection. Again, I'm happy to hear any concerns!
Copying older prompts across to AO3
I've created a subcollection to provide a new home for our old prompts: https://archiveofourown.org/collections/merlinrpfpromptsI envisage this as being "open" all year round, while also running our annual prompt fests.
I've added my own old unclaimed prompts to the subcollection, and I invite you to do the same. Please note, however, that prompts are considered to be fanworks by the OTW, and it's against the AO3 Terms of Service to post anyone else's works. (There are a few exceptions, but please give me a holler first if you think that applies.)
I will list all the remaining prompts below the cut. I would love it if you posted your own prompts to the AO3 collection! It would be so awesome to make them available to a wider audience!
- It's fine if you'd prefer to discard or change a prompt, if you feel it's no longer appropriate or can be improved/finessed. I leave that to your discretion!
- With the anonymous prompts, I will have to rely on your sense of honour to only post those that you know for sure were yours. Thank you for taking care to do the right thing here!
- I've noted where the prompts have already been claimed and filled. I can see arguments either way for whether to post these or not. I ended up only posting my unclaimed prompts, but I'll leave it to you to decide for yours. (I think it's fair to say that if a prompter posts a filled prompt, it's not that they're dissatisfied with the fill, but only that they think there's more life yet in the prompt.)
