Moving the Prompt Fests to AO3 - and also the old prompts, fills and other fic...?
Thank you to everyone who responded to my last post and poll. Much appreciated!
It seems people are keen to run the Prompt Fests on AO3 from now on, while keeping our LJ/DW communities alive. People are also keen for me to move across the unfilled prompts, with a significant number preferring that those prompts be posted anonymously.
However, once I looked further into OTW Open Doors policy, I found that I can't just post prompts across to AO3 under my own steam, as it were. For these purposes, prompts are creative fanworks in the same way that fic or art or interpretive crochet are fanworks. The creators have chosen to post them to this community and entrust them to the mods (currently me!) and if I want to cross-post them to the AO3 then I need to go through the Open Doors process as a client. I could then post to the Merlin RPF collections on AO3 as an archivist rather than as an individual.
I'm more than happy to go ahead - but so far we've only discussed the old unfilled prompts. I figured that if I'm going through the process, then I may as well ask you if we want to widen the scope. In for a penny, in for a pound, and all that!
So, here's a new poll! You can tick as many options as you want to. Feel free to discuss in the comments, share quibbles, whatever you wish. I'm looking forward to hearing what you think!

- We could import any or all of the following to AO3: unfilled prompts; filled prompts and their fills; any other fic which the creator has either posted direct to the community or shared a link with the community.
- Any prompter or creator will have the chance to opt OUT - either for all their prompts and other fanworks, or for specific prompts and fanworks.
- Generally, I would post prompts anonymously unless the prompter opts IN.
- I would post fills and fanworks under the creator's name unless the creator opts OUT.
- Creators can choose to orphan their works, i.e. agree to the work being posted to the collection, but anonymously.
- Any fanworks that are already posted to AO3 (most of the more recent ones, I'd think) will be invited to the collection, or bookmarked by the collection.
- I would keep the LJ/DW communities going, and post here to announce new fests as they arise.
